So I'll definitely open this up by saying right now that, typically, if you've ever thought about seat covers for your rig, you typically think about something you pick up off the shelf from your local parts store, which usually doesn't fit well, doesn't look right, and then last but not least, it just feels a little bit on the cheap side. That's definitely not gonna be the case with Fia's LeatherLite seat cover kit right here. And I definitely think that this is gonna be a great option for any F-150 owner out there that's gonna be looking for a premium seat cover option that's gonna help protect your interior from anything from dirt and mud, even down to some light spills, as this material is going to be water-repellent. But piggy-backing on to protecting your investment along with your truck's interior, if your interior is starting to show some signs of wear and tear, that could be from job site, the farm, or just anything that you're bringing in from the outside into the cabin of your vehicle, this is gonna be something that's great in terms of covering up war wounds from the past. But before I get a little bit too ahead of myself, I'm gonna throw it out there right now that a great benefit about any type of seat cover out there is that they're gonna install in a matter of minutes, and for that, I'm gonna give this a very easy one 1 of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter, and about a 15 to 30-minute job to get these wrapped up.But additionally, for the truck owners out there that are running cloth seats just like myself, I think this is going to appeal to you as it's gonna be great in terms of cleaning up the looks of your interior, and that's gonna be thanks due in part to Fia's LeatherLite material here, which, I gotta tell you, honestly feels like the real thing. But even to hit on that a little bit further, for the owners out there running a gray interior, like myself, I honestly like the idea of throwing these on there as it's gonna mix up the look, give it a little bit of contrast, as well as being considerably more inexpensive than doing a full interior swap outta something like a King Ranch, a Lariat, or even an FX4.But in terms of the construction and materials used here, guys, this is called Fia's LeatherLite Set. I'm gonna stop you right there. I know you're probably immediately are gonna think of that "leatherette" word that's been thrown around for the past couple decades here. Again, I can't stress it enough that the feeling here honestly feels like the real thing. It doesn't really have that cheap synthetic feel like I'm used to with any type of generic seat cover that you might pull off the shelf at your local parts store. And with Fia, in comparison to any other company out there that does manufacture seat covers, all Fia does here is essentially textiles and materials like we have here today. They've been around for the past 30 years, and they are dedicated to providing the end-user the maximum amount of comfort, protection, and looks that you can get outta your seat covers. But, moreover, a couple of other things that I really like about this is that this kit will come with just the slightest amount of padding on every seat cover here. It's not gonna be something where it's gonna completely change just how comfortable upfront it is, but more importantly, it's gonna be up top what counts here, which is gonna be that water-resistant material. And additionally, it's gonna be pre-cut for your F-150, as well as being UV resistant, so you can rest easy knowing that it's gonna be able to hold up over a lifetime's worth of years. Now due to those quality materials, the custom fit, as well as the protective purposes that these are going to give your truck, you should expect to be spending about 485 bucks for this set. Don't get me wrong, I know it's a little bit on the higher side, but you really need to take into consideration that this is not gonna be like a terry cloth towel, something that you're throwing on your seat walking off the beach or the lake, or like some of those more cheap or inexpensive synthetic-style covers that kinda feels like an older wet suit. And it's honestly a small price to pay just to ensure that your investment is gonna be protected over the years, as well as getting many years outta use from the covers themselves. But getting these wrapped around your seats isn't gonna take a couple of hours at all. Like I said earlier, you're gonna be looking at a very easy 1 outta 3 wrenches on our difficulty scale here, and about 15 to 30 minutes when all's said and done. Again, there's really not gonna be anything too labor-intensive here. It's merely gonna be pulling all of these out of the packaging, physically wrapping them around your seats, strapping them down, throwing your headrests on, and then you're good to go.I'm Alex, and that's my quick review and breakdown of Fia's LeatherLite black seat covers, fitting the '09 through '14 F-150 with the 40/20/40 split bench, available right here at americantrucks.com.
