Description
Unique Mount Setup. A machined rope passage runs through the main loop of the Factor 55 Splicer Shackle Mount (Black), sheltering the rope of your 1999-2024 Silverado's winch from impacts, abrasion, and ultraviolet deterioration. Made to work with 1/2" synthetic ropes (not with steel cables), the Splicer requires that the rope be threaded through and then spliced using using either a Brummel Splice or a Long Bury Splice. The hefty pear-shaped shackle mount opening provides you with several shackle attachment options. 3/4" standard screw pin shackles fit with either the pin or bow end inserted, while 7/8" or 1" shackles fit pin end only. The use of a closed shackle frees you from the risk of recovery strap slippage, which exists with most winch hooks.
Designed to Last. Covered by a 1 year warranty and made with the latest manufacturing techniques in the USA, the Factor 55 Splicer Shackle Mount is cut from premium 6000 series billet aluminum. This makes the mount rust-proof and lightweight, with a total weight of 25 oz. The winch fairlead is protected by a removable EPDM synthetic rubber guard, which secures tightly using ribbed rubber barbs fitting into machined pockets in the Splicer's material.
