Advanced Front Suspension Component. The TTX Front Upper Ball Joint is designed to provide precise steering and suspension articulation by connecting the upper control arm to the steering knuckle. It plays a crucial role in vehicle handling and safety by allowing smooth and controlled movement of the front wheels, absorbing road shocks, and maintaining alignment under demanding driving conditions. This ball joint is engineered for high-performance use, offering enhanced durability and reliability.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted with patented sintered metal bearings, the assembly ensures superior toughness and extended life. The unit features a press-in mounting type with a thick, strong flange to prevent deformation during installation. The ball joint comes pre-greased and includes a neoprene dust boot for protection, complemented by a green boot color for easy identification. It is finished with corrosion-resistant knurling and secured with pre-applied nylok thread adhesive on fasteners.
Installation. Installation is straightforward, requiring no drilling as it uses a press-in mount. The process is simplified by the included part-specific slotted castle nut and an easy snap cotter pin, making it suitable for professional mechanics looking to save time.
Application. Designed specifically for the 2004 to 2020 Ford F-150 models, this upper ball joint excludes the Raptor variants and fits vehicles equipped with stamped steel upper control arms.
