      Video Review & Installation

The 5-inch Black Billet Antenna that we have here will be a great option for all '97 and newer F-150 owners who might be looking to ditch that goofy factory ski pole antenna and clean up the look by going with a much shorter high-quality CNC billet aluminum option. Now the five-star rating product is gonna run you right around 20 bucks while the install itself is easy enough for my toddler to achieve. So, therefore, let's call it a very soft one-out-of-three wrenches on the difficulty meter with a little bit more detail to come later in the video. So short and sweet guys, the factory antenna is good for picking up just about every darn radio station in your state but that's about where it ends. It looks goofy, it's way too tall for the truck and can easily get damaged if you go through those automatic car washes. Now the 5-inch option that we have here on the other hand, at least according to our customer reviews, is still strong enough to maintain solid radio reception on most of your terrestrial radio stations but at the end of the day is going to make a massive improvement in regards to your appearance. That's why you're buying this thing guys, you're not buying it to help your radio reception, you're buying it to help your appearance. Now, I do have this exact same antenna on my truck, and for the very small amount of time I do spend listening to the radio, whether it be sports talk or something like that, really haven't noticed a huge drop off in performance. Now granted, I do live near a bigger city so, therefore, the station signals are pretty strong. If you live out in the country, you might notice some decreased performance in reception. Now ultimately guys, I am gonna strongly recommend reading up on the dozens of customer reviews on this exact product to hear how installing the antenna has affected different owners in different ways. But again, surprisingly, a majority of owners have said they really haven't noticed a big impact in reception. And heck, if you're the type of owner who listens to Sirius or streams from your phone, this really isn't a big concern at all.Construction-wise, well you are gonna be looking at a high-quality CNC billet aluminum build finished off in a satin black powder coat. Now installation again, really couldn't be any easier here guys. Now you might need a wrench to loosen up the stocker depending on how tight that thing is on there but after that, simply screw this thing on in reverse order and you're good to go. Now if you're still a little foggy on how things are gonna go down in regards to the install, check out our detailed breakdown right now.Tool used for this installation includes a 10-millimeter wrench. Getting started just take your 10-millimeter wrench and loosen up your factory antenna. Depending on how tight it is or isn't you might even be able to use your hands for this step. Now your new shorty antenna does come with a few different thread options because it's designed to fit a few different trucks. So with that being said, I got our factory antenna here on the table, I'm just gonna grab the thread adapter that closely resembles that of our factory antenna. At that point, insert in and thread it into the new antenna. Now just simply reinstall the new shorty antenna in reverse order. And with that, this very difficult installation is complete. Guys, we hope you enjoyed this review and install of the shorty billet antenna for your F-150. And keep in mind, for more products and videos like this, keep it right here at
