Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the LED Bar Projector Headlights with the Black Housing and the Smoked Lens, fitting all 2015 to 2017 F150s with the Halogen Headlights out of the factory. So, if you are looking for a big upgrade in lighting performance and styling for the front end of your F150, this set of headlights is going to be a great choice to take a look into. Now, as you can tell, these are going to have a very stealthy and more aggressive look than the factory headlight, which will be great for anybody who's looking for a smoked appearance when it comes to lighting on the front end of the F150, and is a fan of a more blacked-out look. These are also going to be incredibly brighter than your factory considering that these are going to have a projector lens for both the high beam and the low beam. So, if you're struggling with your performance out of the factory, you're looking for a better light when it comes to better visibility at night, these are gonna be a great option. Not to mention these are also going to come with that LED light bar around the headlight which is going to act as a daytime running light, not only making you more noticeable on the road to other drivers, but it's going to add a lot of style and a nice touch to the front end in comparison to those factory headlights that really don't come with any daytime running light at all. And in addition to that light bar, you're also going to have a tri-bar marker light, again just adding a lot of styling to the front end of your F150. Now, with all that being said, these are gonna come in and roughly $450. And in my personal opinion, I think that that's a great price for what you're getting out of these headlights. Now, in comparison to some other options available on the page, a lot of the other choices are gonna be set up a little bit differently when it comes to the housing or the lens. You may see a clear lens and a chrome housing, you may see a black housing and a clear lens, it kind of comes down to your personal preference when it comes to style. However, this is going to sit right in the middle when it comes to the technology on the inside and how the actual headlight is set up.So, some less expensive choices may stick with the halogen and a standard reflector as to where this comes with projector lenses, and then some more expensive choices that are gonna have some extra bells and whistles may be fully LED instead of having some LED functions in the headlight. Again, I think if you're looking for something affordable, something stylish, and something that's going to increase your performance when it comes to the lighting and better visibility out of the front end of your truck, this is gonna be a great choice. Now, as far as install is concerned, I'm gonna give this very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty here. Everything is pretty much plug-and-play with these, there's no additional wiring, it's gonna take you about an hour with some basic hand tools to get the job done in your driveway. So, speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were an electric ratchet, the trim removal tool, a long extension, a soft pry tool, and a 10-millimeter and 7-millimeter socket. So, our first step is to get this plastic trim piece out of the way. I am going to remove the clip up at the corner that's holding part of it on, you're gonna need a trim removal tool for this. You can just pry up on it, get that out of the way and we can move around to the side. Now, on the inside of our inner wheel well here connected to that trim piece that we're removing is two 7-millimeter screws. So, we need to remove those, and then we can pull off our trim piece. I'm gonna be using a 7-millimeter socket, then we can pop this out of place. So, for this, we can use a soft pry tool just pull on the front. And we can move this out of the way. So, once that trim is off, that'll give us access to all of the bolts that we need to remove in order to remove our headlight. I'm gonna start with the two that were exposed up top. Using a 10-millimeter socket, we can remove those both. So, there is gonna be one that is difficult to see on the inside between our grille in the radiator shroud here and our headlight. May be a little bit difficult to see. I'm gonna use a 10-millimeter socket that we were using before but I'm also gonna use a long extension, and we can access that bolt right in the middle there. Next, we can remove this bottom trim piece by removing the seven bolts around the trim piece. We're gonna have four in the front and three on the side. I'm gonna use the same 10-millimeter socket to do so. Now, once those three are out of the way, we'll be able to pop this out of place, we can put this aside, and we can remove our headlight. Next, we can just get a good grip on the headlight, pull forward. It's gonna be held in by a stud back there, which may need a good pool in order to get out. Then we can disconnect all of our wiring harnesses, then we can disconnect our marker light over on the side, we can disconnect on turn signal in the middle here. And then we can disconnect our main light harness for headlights, high beam and the low beam. Then you can get this old headlight out of the way, make space for a new one.So, before we jump into installing our new lights, I do wanna stop down and tell you guys a little bit more about them, show you a little comparison on the table between our new light and our factory light, and show you some of the similarities and the differences between the two. Now, starting off is just a brief overview of our factory lights. We're going to have a very chrome-look here as far as the housing is concerned, we're gonna have a clear lens on the front. And then inside we're gonna have both a halogen bulb or an incandescent bulb with a standard reflector for both the high beam and the low beam. We're also gonna have a standard turn signal with the amber reflector in the middle and then a marker light over on this side. So, overall, this is going to have a very stock look, very stock function but that's not the case when we're moving over to this new option. Now, as you can tell, this is going to have a stealthy look, we're going to have a black housing, and we're also gonna have a smoke lens on the front giving you a very sleek look even when the lights are off. So, if you're a fan of that murdered-out or blacked-out look, this is definitely going to achieve that aesthetic for the front end of your F150.Now, on the inside, we're going to have a projector light for both the high beam and the low beam. They're gonna utilize an H7 bulb, so we're still working with an incandescent or halogen bulb. However, that projector lens is going to be a big step up in comparison to the standard reflector that we see on our factory one because that is going to put the light out a lot farther, project it a lot farther. And it's also going to create a more uniform light pattern, look a lot more modernized, overall giving you some better lighting performance than the scattered halogen factory reflector is able to give you. Now, this is also going to swap over the factory turn signals so we will be keeping that. However, this is going to have a little bit more of a unique styling in comparison to our standard amber reflector there. And then we're also going to have a LED daytime running light and marker light. So, we're gonna have that tri-bar marker light on the inside there that's gonna give a little bit of extra styling when it comes to the LEDs inside of this headlight. We're also going to have that light bar around the side, again, giving you some styling, giving you a daytime running light in comparison to the factory one which doesn't really give you that and it's also going to make you a lot more noticeable while you're driving around on the street. Overall, this is going to be solid setup and everything is plug-and-play as you'll see in a minute, making it a super easy install. So, what do you say we go ahead and head over to the F150? So, before we can head over to the truck, we do need to swap over the turn signal, it's over here on the side and we need to take the socket here for the marker light so we can have it be plug-and-play for our factory wiring harness. So, first, I'm just going to turn this, pull back. We'll put this over at our new headlight, same thing for our marker light. So, first, we're going to take this small sticker off, that's going to be covering up the turn signal mounting point there, we're gonna take our turn signal in the socket that we took from our factory one, then we can place this down on in.Next, we can move to the marker light. So, we're just gonna be using this gray part, the part with the plug. So we can just pop our factory bulb right out. Take this little sticker off. So we can plug this wire into where the bulb was. And then we can place this down on in and twist it into place. Now, our headlight is all set and we can head over to the truck. What we can do next is plug it in. So, this is just going to be plug-and-play right into our factory harness. So, I'm just gonna plug in our marker light over at the side, then we can plug in our main wiring harness for our lights for both the high beam and the low beam. You wanna make sure that you hear a click, and then we can plug in our turn signal in the middle. Now, once that's plugged in, we can line up this pin and the pin down at the side with the mounting location and give it a good push. Once that's in place, we can secure down factory hardware. So, I'm gonna start by securing the top two just to make sure top portion of our headlight is where it's supposed to be sitting.Again, we'll be reusing the factory hardware. I'm gonna tighten that down with a 10-millimeter socket. Then we can move to the bottom. Next, we can secure down the middle bolt that's a little bit difficult to see. Again, I'm using the 10-millimeter socket and I'm also using an extension. Next, we can attach our lower trim piece here, line this back up, and we can secure it down with our factory hardware. So, once all those are hand threaded, we can go ahead and tighten them up with the 10-millimeter socket. Then we pop our trim piece back into place. Next, we can secure the two screws over on the side with our 7-millimeter socket. Last but not least, we can reinstall this clip up at the corner. And then we can repeat that same process on the other side. So, that is going to wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe for more videos and products just like this.
