Jake: Jake here for American Trucks, and today I'm taking a look at this OE Style Powered Heated Mirror with Amber LED Turn Signals, for the driver's side of 2007 to 2014 F-150s. If your F-150 is in need of a replacement mirror, and you wanna keep that stock look and functionality, well, this is gonna be just what you're looking for. Featuring OEM-type styling and construction, this is a full replacement mirror that keeps all the functionality of your truck intact and keeps the cost quite low.It seems to happen to all trucks eventually, you drive your truck enough and the mirror gets busted up somehow. But fear not, we've got a great option here for a replacement for your F-150. Now, this is gonna take the exact style and function of your OEM mirror and saves you a bit of money over the factory one. Now this includes power adjustments for the mirror glass, and a heating element in the mirror glass as well for those frosty mornings. And of course, you've got the amber LED turn signal here, and on the backside of the mirror housing to keep that extra visibility. Now it is worth noting here that we are only looking at the driver's side mirror right now. These are sold separately, however, we do have the matching passenger-side mirror available on our website. So, if you want a complete set, or if you need a complete set, just make sure you grab that one as well. You also have got a LED puddle light down here as well, so if your truck had that from the factory when you plug this guy in, you're gonna have that functionality as well. Now construction here is all OE-style, ABS plastic for the housings, with amber polycarbonate lenses for the turn signals. And, of course, that mirror glass that we have here is your standard as well. So, this is gonna hold up and function just like the original that came on your truck. What is not gonna be like the original mirror for your truck is the price point, and that is probably the biggest selling point here, as this one is gonna only run you about $110, which is far, far cheaper than getting the equivalent piece from Ford themselves. Trust me, I went ahead and looked for you. And again, you're not sacrificing any functionality, or any quality here really either. So, this is gonna make for a very economical and sensible replacement if you've gotta do this on your truck.Installation gets an easy one out of three on our difficulty meter, and it should take you about an hour. Now since this is designed to directly replace your factory mirror, it's gonna bolt on without any modification, and it's total plug-and-play operation. You've got the plug all ready to go right here. Now, if your truck did not have some of the options included here from the factory, then wiring is gonna be required. However, if you've got the equivalent on your truck already, these are gonna be a very, very easy install. And here to show you exactly what's entailed is one of our AT customers. Tools used for this install include a ratchet with an extension 5.5, 10, and 11-millimeter sockets, a clip removal tool, or small plastic pry bar, and a set of diesel nose pliers.Male Speaker: Okay, so I'm replacing a mirror, my left mirror on the driver's side for a 2013 F-150. Because this one won't stay. It's busted And we're gonna have to remove this door panel to get to that mirror. And to get to this, you're gonna have to take, there's a cap right here with a 10 millimeter underneath it. And then on this door handle, right behind this, there's this black cover right here that we're gonna have to remove with another 10-millimeter behind it. And then there's two, 5.5-millimeter screws here that I gotta remove, and that should really take care of the panel. So first, just pop this off. And on mine, I don't really have that screw because that took that off a long time ago. But so behind this, you're just gonna get your prying tool or a pick, try to pop that out. And there's a screw right there a 10-millimeter. So, you'll use, like I said, a ratchet or a 10-millimeter and take this off. That's not the 10, it's 11, so it's a 10 millimeter. Okay. So, you're gonna switch from a 10 to a five and a half for the two bottom screws. It's two bags, is it in? So, like, right here, and then there's one on the other side. Okay. So, now we gotta pry-off our control panel.Really just use a clip tool or your pick to pop this up, pop around the edges. Okay, bring it right here. So, these are all gonna have these little clips right here. You just pop 'em up like that. It's this one too. Then one more over here on this side. And that takes care of that. So, now your panels will just slide up and now, I use needle nose to do these. So, you'll just pinch these little tabs on the side and pull through like this. And then you just slide this out. And then over here, there's another one right here for your mirror. Okay. And that takes care of the panel. All right, so as I was saying, you go to these 11, these right here are 11s for your mirror. So, you'll want to have your window down for this, so you can hold your mirror like, so it don't fall on you when you take these out. And now, you'll just pull your mirror away from the door. That's it. So, this is the original here to the truck. I'm just gonna put that to the side since I can't use it no more. And now this is the mirror I bought from the AmericanTrucks website. And I'll just put this back where it was. So, there's all of the holes for the studs. So, you just put those through, you put the mirror where those are, and fit your plug where it needs to be.See it through like that. And then just tie these up by hand, tie this up with the ratchet, plug this in. Just click it. Now, here we go. We gotta put the panel back on and go, make sure to hold it tight. That's it. Now, we are gonna put our panel back on. Put your panel back on, feed your wires through here where the panel for the control panel is. This is for your handle, so you just put the pin there. Then you push it through right here. Push these out, plug this back into your mirror for your mirror, pull these out like I said, and now you'll have to, first, you'll feed this through, right? You'll want to push this right here for your panel, for it to go through your panel, which is probably is the hardest part about this. Just feed it through. Then your panels will just slide down right there. Put your edges and all that, put your wires out. Throw those back into your control panel, which is easy just till it clicks or pops. Sure and tight. Go in there, push it right down. It should pop back into place like that. Then you get your 10 millimeters and put it backwards up where it was. Put your 10-millimeter back right here behind the handle. Okay. Then you put this cap back on. It should just snap in place. Just put that in first and push it in there. It should pop. Now if you have your 10-millimeter that goes here, which I don't, you put it there, so I'm just gonna cover that up. Switch a pop, put your five and five-and-a-half millimeter bolts back in the bottom. Each one goes up here. Okay, we just wanna zag [SP] these up. Don't wanna over-tighten them.Jake: That's gonna wrap it up here for our review and install of the OE Style Powered Heated Mirror with Amber LED Turn Signals for the driver's side of 2007 to 2014 F-150s. Thank you so much for watching, and remember as always, for all things F-150, be sure to keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
