Justin: The manual towing mirrors that we have here today in black will be an affordable option for all 2004 to 2014 F-150 owners who are looking to add a full-blown telescoping tow mirror to your rig to get a better view of your trailer setup and truck whenever you're towing. Now the mirrors themselves will feature a durable ABS construction, along with a simple black finish and some amber turn signals and puddle lights if your truck was equipped with those from the factory. Price point for the pair will hover in that mid $200 range and the install, according to the site, will get a solid one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and take you about an hour or so to complete from start to finish as we'll demonstrate later in the video. But what do you say we break these things down a little bit further? And on the surface there are a few things I do really like about these particular options. First and foremost, they telescope or extend, meaning, whenever you're not towing, you can slide them in a bit like we have here on the table but once it's time to haul or tow, simply pull them out and go full on tow rig. Now, as you can see, you do have to physically pull them out. These are manual extending or telescoping mirrors so that's one thing to keep in mind. Now if you are looking for power adjustment for the mirrors themselves, you will need to go with a different option. These are manually adjustable mirrors. They are not power operated but if you do have a power operated mirror as far as your adjustment is concerned, we do have several here on the site to choose from so I encourage you to look around a little bit further. But aside from the telescoping aspect, the mirrors themselves still support amber turn signals along with the puddle lights that illuminate whenever your doors are locked, unlocked or open, but again, the big thing to keep in mind here guys is that these features will only apply to the F-150s who currently have this feature equipped with their factory mirrors. This set is not going to add that functionality by themselves unless you get very custom and start wiring a bunch of stuff up. You wanna be plug-and-play, you have to have existing factory amber turn signals or turn signals and existing factory puddle lights for these to apply. But moving away from that, let's briefly talk construction and pretty simple stuff here. OEM quality, ABS plastic for the majority of the build here and that is gonna be finished off in that textured black finish which is sure to flow with any color F-150. As always guys, if you do prefer a little bit more flash or maybe you're trying to match a chrome package truck, feel free to check out some of our other options on the site that will kick in the additional chrome skull cap which is typically gonna give you a little bit more pop or flash. Now before we get into the install, I do wanna remind you to check out the very favorable reviews along with some customer submitted images pertaining to these mirrors back on the product page if you haven't done so already. I say that a lot but again, it's a great way for truck owners out there to get a feel for what these things are gonna look like (a) but (b), also how they perform and if there's anything to be aware of from actual F-150 owners who have pulled the trigger, installed these mirrors and are rocking them every day on their rig. But, now as promised, let's get into that installation and again, this will be a pretty straightforward job as that one out of three wrench rating would indicate but to give you a better idea of how things are gonna go down, check out our detailed walk through and tool breakdown right now.Male: Tools used for this install are: an impact or ratchet, 11-millimeter socket, 8-millimeter socket, 6-millimeter socket, needle-nose pliers and a small flathead screwdriver. So, to get these mirrors installed on your truck, you are gonna have to pull the door panel off from the inside. It's a very simple process and there's minimal tools required. I'm gonna walk you through it. So let's get started. So inside the door pull on the inside door panel there is a little plastic cover here that's covering up a bolt that holds the door panel on. I'm gonna use a flat blade screwdriver but you can also use like an interior plastic trim tool to get that little piece of plastic to come out to reveal the bolt. Now that you have that plastic cover off, you can take your 8-millimeter socket and remove the screw. Next, I'm also gonna remove this cover panel inside the door handle here. I'll just use my screwdriver to pop that cover off, reveal this 8-millimeter screw, take that out with my 8-mil socket. The next thing I'm gonna do is use my 6-millimeter socket and remove the two screws down here at the bottom of the door panel. So now that you have your door panel hardware removed, you can go ahead and just lift up on the door panel itself. That's gonna disengage these hooks that are here on the back and then once you have this off, you can start disconnecting your door handle and also your electrical connections for your switches. You're gonna need a pair of needle-nose pliers to disengage the tab that holds the cable for the door latch release. Now that you've got the door panel off, that's going to reveal these three 11-millimeter nuts here at the top of the door and this electrical connection for the power mirror. Just go ahead and unplug that and then take your 11-millimeter socket and undo the bolts. So now we're ready to install our new mirror into place and what I'm gonna do is just line up the studs on the back of the mirror with the three holes in the door and I'll reattach it with factory hardware. Then I can just go ahead and plug in my electrical connection. Now once we have the new mirror installed onto the truck, you can go ahead and just throw your door panel back on in the reverse order of the removal process. Now I'll just reinstall my hardware. Now I'll just throw my covers back on and wrap this up. And that's gonna wrap up this review and install of the Manual Towing Mirrors with amber turn signals and puddle lights in black fitting your 2004 to 2014 F-150. Thanks for watching and for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
