High-Temperature Protection. The Heat Shroud; 16 AN x 36-Inch provides exceptional protection to automotive lines, hoses, and wires exposed to heat and abrasions. It acts as a flexible wrap-around sleeve that enhances longevity and safety by reflecting radiant heat and resisting physical wear, all without needing to disconnect existing assemblies.
Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from 19-ounce heat-treated glass fiber fabric, this shroud is finished with a robust aluminized outer layer to reflect heat effectively. Its edges feature a hook and loop closure system reinforced with aramid thread, providing excellent heat resistance, abrasion durability, and flame-retardant properties.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and tool-free, requiring no disassembly of hoses or wires. Simply cut the shroud to the desired length, slide it over the component, and secure with the hook-and-loop closure.
Application. Designed for universal fitment, this heat shroud accommodates lines and hoses with diameters ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 inches. Note that it should not be applied directly to exhaust components.
