Justin: If you're looking for some of the wildest most unique headlights available for your 2004 to 2008 F-150, well then look no further than the Raxiom Dual LED Halo Projectors that we're talking about here today. Now these DOT-approved lights will combine a chrome housing, which is topped off with a crystal clear polycarbonate lens, and a slew of modern LED accent lighting, including those halos surrounding the modern low beam projector. Price point for the DOT-approved Raxioms will hover right around 250 bucks for the pair, and the install, at least according to the site, will get a solid one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and take about an hour or so to complete from start to finish. But as always, guys, hang with me for a bit and we'll walk you through that job later in the video. So the world of aftermarket headlights is a pretty diverse place. You're gonna find everything from factory-style replacements all the way down the line of something like the Raxioms that we have here and everything in between. But make no mistake about it, guys, the Raxiom headlights that we have here are by far and away some of the wildest headlights I've personally seen for this generation F-150, and some of you guys might be into that. That's the reality. Some guys really wanna make a statement through lighting. On the other hand, there might be some owners out there who think that maybe these are a bit too much, and if that's the case, that's perfectly fine. We have a ton of options to choose from back on the site. So, as always, I encourage you to check out the rest of our selection. But with appearance aside, let's get into some of the features and lighting with these headlights because there is a lot to talk about. Now, for starters, these lights will convert your dated low beam reflector style housing into a much more modern projector. Now not only does this just look a lot cooler but it's also gonna produce a brighter, more focused beam of light, which, in turn, should help improve your nighttime visibility as well, thanks to that increased throw. Now the high beams, on the other hand, they do still remain a reflector style housing but they have been, kinda, resized or reshaped to match the proportions of the low beam projector, and overall, they do look very good. But then there is the accent lighting, right? The dual halos in each light surrounding the low and high beams, those are going to illuminate with a bright white glow whenever your parking lights or your headlights have been switched on and really do kick up the custom look. Now those halos will illuminate in conjunction with the five bright amber LEDs here on the bottom of each light and that's really gonna spice things up even more. Now the Raxioms, by the way, do include brand new bulbs for your high and low beams, certainly worth pointing out, and everything has been sealed tightly behind that clear polycarbonate lens. Now despite the wild styling of these lights, believe it or not, they have been given the DOT and SAE stamp of approval, which ultimately makes them legal for use in all 50 states. But now we wanna shift gears and show you just what it takes to get these bolted up to your '04 to '08 F-150 at home. Pretty straightforward job but regardless, check out our detailed walkthrough and tool breakdown right now.Adam: Tools used for this install are an impact gun or ratchet, 10-millimeter socket, wire cutters, strippers, and crimpers, a clip removal tool, and some spade connectors. The first step of this install is gonna have you pop open the hood to gain access to the headlight hardware so that we can remove the headlight from the truck. There's not a whole lot of tools required for this installation. I'm gonna walk you through every step of the process. So let's get started. I'm gonna take my clip tool and remove this clip that is holding in the flexible air dam next to the radiator and the AC condenser. This is gonna reveal two bolts on the side. Now we can take a 10-millimeter socket on my ratchet and remove the three bolts that secure the headlight into place. Now that everything's unbolted, you can go ahead and remove the headlight from the truck and then disconnect all of the light connections. So there are three black wires and one blue wire coming off of the back of the headlight. These are for the LEDs that are in the headlight. Now these are non-directional as far as the power and ground are concerned so you can put the black to the blue or the blue to the black or black to black. It doesn't really matter. Just make sure that you're wiring up the two separate wires appropriately. So I'll take my blue wire for one of the strips and my black wire for the other, and I can twist them together, and then I'm going to install a spade connector onto the end of this wire so that I can plug it into a connection that is already on our truck. Then I can take my other two wires, twist them together, and do the same thing. Now I can install this onto the vehicle. So, on our vehicle we've already tapped into our running light circuit. This is the bulb socket for our running light and I have a wire coming out of our power and ground wires with spade connectors on the end that I can plug the other spade connectors that I put onto the back of our headlight. That way I can switch the headlights on and off or the running lights on and off from within the cab and will operate all of the other light features on this light. Now I can match up my connectors and install my new headlight. I'll just reinstall the factory 10-millimeter hardware, 1 at the top and 2 on the sides, and then I can tighten them down with a 10-millimeter socket. Finally, I can install the clip for the flexible air dam that secures this into place. And now you can repeat the same exact process on the other side of the vehicle. Now I can reinstall my factory 10-millimeter bolts, 1 at the top and 2 along the sides. Now I can tighten them all down with my 10-millimeter socket. Finally, I can install the clip for the flexible air dam that I removed earlier. And that's gonna wrap up this review and install of the Dual LED Halo Projector Headlights in Chrome, fitting your 2004 to 2008 F-150. Thanks for watching. And for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
