Justin: If you're looking for an affordable way to switch out the boring factory tail lights on your 2004 to 2008 F150 at home, then you'll wanna consider the Raxiom Black Euro Tail Lights that we're talking about here today. Now, these DOT-approved tail lights will feature a very modern look along with an aggressive black housing off of that low $100 price point. So aftermarket tail lights are one of those areas that really gives truck owners a wide variety of options to choose from ranging from mild to wild and everything in between. Now, the Raxiom Euro options that we have here today is certainly gonna appeal more to that crowd who prefers a modified or aftermarket look. And with that said, if these are just a little too wild for you guys, well then I highly encourage you to check out some of our other selection here at americantrucks.com. But for the purposes of this video, let's focus in on the Raxiom options here, and on the surface again, you are getting a glossy black ABS housing on the bottom that has been topped off with that crystal clear polycarbonate lens. And that's still going to allow for plenty of visibility for your brake lights and turn signals. And that will also still allow for that DOT approval which basically makes these things legal for use in all 50 states. Now, these lights do retain the red reflectors here on the bottom and that's gonna be pivotal in maintaining that DOT approval. Obviously, you have your reverse lighthouse right here in the middle as is the case with your factory light, and then finally your brake light and tail light up top there. Now, you will need to transfer over both your reverse and your tail light bulbs just keep that in mind. And everything has been sealed up nice and tight here to prevent any moisture or condensation from entering the lights themselves. Finally, guys, these things are direct swap plug-and-play install, there's no wiring needed, it's a very quick, very easy job. So now let's give you a better idea of what you're in for when it comes time to get these bolted up. Site's gonna call this a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, which I think is a bit strong to be completely honest. But either way, leave yourself about an hour at most to get everything knocked out and you should be good to go. But now here's an AmericanTrucks customer to walk you through the job.Man: The installation calls for an 8-millimeter socket, I used a screwdriver and an 8-millimeter adapter, made it a lot simpler for me to be able to perform the installation. Removing the driver's side tail light is the same process as removing the passenger side. So I'll walk you through that right now. Again, you wanna remove the two screws that hold the light in place. Once both of the screws are out, you want to get some leverage on the light itself. Be careful not to break them there, again, they can be brittle. And you wanna pull them away from the vehicle. And again, twist the light fixtures counterclockwise to unlock them and then remove them. Here's a quick comparison of both of the lights side-by-side here. The one on the left being the Raxiom and the OEM lights on my pickup truck are on the right. Very nice upgrade. Installing the light on this side of the vehicle is the same as the passenger side. So, you wanna line up your light sockets with the actual light in here and you drop them in place. Again, we're only going one way and you gently twist them to the left to get them to lock in place. And the same thing for the top one. Okay. Once you have them in place, you want to gently line up the light to the guide on the body. And again, two pins on the front and two metal pins on the back. Once you line those up, the lights should drop in place, and then you just push it back in there. This can be tricky so you have to be patient with it. Once they're lined up in there, it's just a matter of pushing it back. So you push it back and it should lock in place. There you go. Once they're locked in place you want to take your two screws and fasten it to the light. And again, you can tighten these, they just need to be firmly in place, they don't need to be overtightened because that's gonna damage the actual plastic piece that they screw on. Like, turn them back and make them catch the right... Once they're in there, that's it so then all you have to do is test them at this point in time.Justin: So if you'd really like to change up the rear end appearance of your F150 be sure to consider the Euro Tail Lights from Raxiom right here at americantrucks.com.
