Excellent Construction. EXCEL from Richmond Ring and Pinion Gears are performance-level gears through and through. Forged from 8620 triple alloy steel, it’s engineered to withstand added torque and power. The steel features a stronger core compared to regular metal used on OEM gears. It’s further heat-treated to reinforce the body and ensure it won’t prematurely wear. The gears are further machined to a fine detail following specifications for optimal fit and clearance.
Retuning Recommended. Any change in the gear ratio would throw off your speedometer. Remember to reprogram your truck’s computer after the installation.
