How to Install E & G Fine Mesh Upper Overlay Grilles - Chrome (07-13 Silverado 1500) on your Chevy Silverado

WARNING: Please handle with care. The edges of the STAINLESS STEEL TRIM are EXTREMELY SHARP!

Once the protective liner is peeled off the stainless steel grille sections, E&G recommends wiping the glue residue with a mild solvent on a soft cloth to loosen the remaining glue. Once the glue is removed, use glass cleaner and a solf cloth to remove the solvent residue.

1. Open the hood and remove all the factory push pins securing the cover from the top of the radiator support panel.

2. Cut the end from each black silicone sleeve and install one onto the bottom and side studs on the upper and lower grilles prior to vehicle installation (lower shown).

3. Apply masking tape to the factory grille surrounds before aligning the mesh grille and frames to protect the factory grille finish.

4. Carefully align the upper and lower grille mesh and frames and use masking tape to secure them while installing the mounting hardware.

5. Carefully install large black plastic washers and #8-32 ESNA nuts onto the studs and but do not tighten until the protective masking tape is removed from the factory grille frame.

6. Carefully peel off the protective masking tape from the factory grille frame (pull it back over itself as shown to minimize breakage, you can also shift the mesh grille sections to create additional clearance).

7. Tighten the mounting hardware. IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten the #8-32 ESNA lock nuts or you will indent the grille where the studs are welded.

8. Reinstall the radiator cover removed in Step 1.

Finished installation.
