      Description

      Maximum Protection Against Heat Soak. The ONYX™ Starter Shield is recommended for engine starters that are usually exposed to extreme heat. The shield will prevent starter malfunctioning and can protect vehicle components from direct heat of up to 1350°F.

      Dual Layer of Best in Industry Materials. Each starter shield is a combination of two technologically advanced textile materials. The outer layer is a tight woven mix of heat-treated glass fiber and molten aluminum. On the other hand, the inner layer is made from a specially treated and high-temperature resistant fabric composed of 89% silica. This unique, dual-layer construction forms the highest level of thermal protection.

      Quick, No-Tool Installation. The starter shield is designed with a hook-and-loop fastening mechanism with a Velcro closure. This allows the user to install the shield without going through the trouble of removing the starter.

      Versatile Design and Fit. Each shield comes in standard 7”W x 24”L size. One of the best things in its construction is that you can easily trim the length so you can use the shield to wrap other vehicle components like master cylinders and fuel pumps.
