Fierce Sound. Sporting a stealthy but macho look thanks to the dual black tips exiting behind the passenger tire, the Borla Stinger S-Type Dual Side Exit Cat-Back Exhaust also brings fresh strength and a thrilling racetrack sound to your 2014-2018 6.2L Chevy Silverado.

Extra Performance. Freeing up the engine cylinders from backpressure, the system wins you an extra +1-2 mpg at cruising speed, while putting +7% to +10% horsepower and ft/lbs of torque at your command. In addition to making your Silverado run faster, stronger, and cleaner, the S-type muffler imparts a throaty, aggressive snarl to your pickup's exhaust, while maintaining a pleasantly drone-free interior.

Lasting Value. Engineered for tough as nails durability, the Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back is fabricated out of 300-series stainless steel, which stands up not only to rust but to heat and chemical corrosion from the inside. The twin tailpipes (2.25" diameter) and single intermediate pipe (3.45" diameter) are mandrel-bent to remove all obstruction to the free flow of exhaust gases. This component has a 1 million mile warranty backing it, and is made here in the USA.

Application. The Borla Stinger S-Type Dual Side Exit Cat-Back Exhaust is suitable for use on the 2014-2018 6.2L Chevrolet Silverado's fitted with the following cab and box configurations.

Great Sound, Good Fitment, High Cost

This is a fantastic sounding exhaust. There is absolutely ZERO DRONE at any rpm in v4 or v8 mode. That alone is a huge win. It burbles quite nicely and, at idle, ALMOST sounds as if your running an upgraded cam; a nice deep burble. High rpm is throaty, not harsh, with just the right amount of rasp. This is leagues better sounding than the usual cut-muffler/straight-piped juvenile exhausts out there. Slight deduction on "Fit and Finish" as I had minor fitment issues with the OEM hanger locations and I had to stretch/curse a bit to get things to hang and seal properly. However, it's been on the truck for over 2 years now and I haven't had a single issue, so apparently all is well. I'd recommend a lift to remove the OEM exhaust in 1 piece, but a single cut will allow you to pull everything out with some twisting and patience. Even raising it slightly might allow one to remove the entire OEM in a single piece, but I simply crawled under and made a cut; easy enough to weld back up. Ultimately, while this is truly a great sounding exhaust, the cost is a tad too high, IMO. Black Chrome tips add hundreds of dollars...and the fitment I experienced wasn't all that great. That said, the exhaust market itself is outrageously overpriced, so, relative to the market, this isn't too insulting. If you can find a sale price on these, jump on it. Or, if you're like me, and you hated the fact that your additional cost 6.2L had zero tonal personality, jump on it.

Get the S-Type! Looks sounds awesome!

Pretty easy install but the hardest part was removing factory exhaust in one piece without using a lift! Definitely recommend a professional lift or cutting OEM exhaust in order to remove If you don’t care and won’t be keeping. Very happy with my decision to go with S-type over the Touring! Looks beautiful and sounds perfect for my 6.2 with an aggressive, deep note the doesn’t sound juvenile. Performance gains can be felt over stock especially at higher RPMs. I will be adding CAI next just because. A tad pricey but hey it’s Borla and it’s the best! Fast shipping, smooth transaction with AT, will be back for sure!
