Best F150 Wheels

The first question most raise when shopping for F150 rims is what size to buy. Changing the full geometry of your truck’s rim effects more than just looks. Wider wheel and therefore wider tires increase traction on the street. Increasing the diameter of the wheel means taller tires, and while this is an aesthetic change, when you lift your truck keeping the stock height makes your truck look a bit ridiculous. But more on that later. Offset in another important measurement regarding your wheels. This number dictates how far the mounting face sticks out. Specifically, how far the wheel face is from the centerline of the rim. Stock F150s usually have an offset of 44mm, meaning the mounting face is further away from the center line of the truck. Aftermarket wheels frequently change the offset, so be sure you’ll be getting the look you want before pulling the trigger.

The main reason to upgrade your F150’s wheels is to compliment your lift kit. The question then becomes what size wheel for what size lift. The general rule of thumb is 33s are the best F150 wheels for leveling kits or small lift kits (1-3 inches). 35s are good for four inches or higher. Lifting your truck and getting the appropriate tires is only part of the setup though. Certain combinations will affect your speedometer, but this is easily remedied by a tuner. Usually you’ll only need to make small adjustments (5-10 mph slower or faster on the speedo), but the more you deviate from stock the greater adjustment needed.
