Description
Heavy-Duty Traction Control. The BDS Traction Bar Kit for 4 to 8-Inch Lift improves traction by reducing axle wrap and maintaining proper pinion angle during acceleration. This kit is essential for maintaining rear axle stability on lifted vehicles, especially when towing or hauling heavy loads, ensuring better drivetrain performance and durability.
Construction and Appearance. The kit features fabrication from 1.25-inch outer diameter, 1/8-inch wall steel tubing for exceptional strength. Bushings are made of durometer-specific polyurethane to resist wear and improve durability. Application-specific mounting brackets are crafted from 3/16-inch steel plate, and the tubular design provides a professional, clean look.
Installation. Installation is moderately complex with an estimated time of 3-4 hours. Some drilling may be required to fit the mounting brackets, making it suitable for experienced installers or professional shops.
Application. This traction bar kit fits 2001 to 2010 four-wheel-drive Sierra 2500 HD models equipped with the 6.50-foot standard box. It is not compatible with standard cab or short box models, nor with trucks featuring an 8-foot long bed.
