Description
Electronic Exhaust Braking. The BD Power Remote Exhaust Brake enhances vehicle control by delivering up to 150 retarding horsepower, providing improved engine braking especially useful on steep descents. It integrates easily inline into the existing 4.0-inch exhaust system and uses the original dash button for activation, increasing towing confidence and overall safe driving performance.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from durable cast iron, this exhaust brake withstands intense heat cycles and offers long-lasting reliability. Its robust build ensures superior back pressure regulation throughout the RPM range, and the finish is optimized to resist rust and wear over time.
Installation. Installation typically requires approximately three hours with no drilling needed; however, some vehicle components may need temporary removal or support for proper fitting. The design allows for quick and universal placement within the exhaust system.
Warranty. The product comes with a 24-month, 24,000-mile warranty on parts and a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty on labor.
Application. Specifically designed for 2008-2017 6.7L RAM 2500 models, this brake requires engine tuning to maintain full functionality and is not available for licensed California vehicles.
