Description
Exhaust Brake Performance. The BD Power Remote Exhaust Brake with Non-VGT Turbo and 5-Inch Exhaust Kit is designed to provide reliable engine braking for diesel-powered vehicles where an aftermarket performance turbo limits turbo-mounted exhaust brake options. It enhances vehicle control on descents by delivering consistent retarding horsepower across the entire engine RPM range, increasing safety and reducing wear on service brakes.
Construction and Appearance. This exhaust brake features rugged cast-iron housings combined with exclusive alumibronze bushings and piston ring-seals for durability. The solid, offset butterfly valve and its shaft are constructed from stainless steel to resist corrosion and withstand extreme heat, while all mounting hardware is corrosion-resistant stainless steel, ensuring long-term reliability.
Installation. Installation generally requires about four hours for experienced technicians.
Warranty. This product includes a 24-month/24,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month/12,000-mile labor warranty. Application. Specifically designed to fit 07-17 6.7L RAM 2500.
