Description
Enhanced Transmission Performance. The BD Power Roadmaster Transmission is engineered to increase reliability and longevity for stock or slightly modified trucks. It resolves common issues such as the leaking CDF drum by incorporating a modified valve body that boosts line pressure by approximately 30%, combined with a ProForce torque converter featuring new friction material for improved clutch holding and smoother, quicker shifts.
Construction and Appearance. This transmission package includes new OEM clutches and steels, a revised CDF drum with a retaining feature to prevent sleeve failure common in OEM units, and a new deep sump transmission oil pan that increases fluid capacity by two extra quarts. The design enhances fluid regulation and reduces the risk of overheating, with a professional, durable finish.
Installation. Installation typically takes about 11 hours and 30 minutes and requires no special drilling. A Ford scanner or equivalent diagnostic tool is necessary to update the transmission control module with new solenoid codes and perform a relearn procedure to ensure optimal operation.
Warranty. This transmission is backed by a 24-month/100,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month/24,000-mile labor warranty.
Application. Compatible with 2018-2020 2WD 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 models. Please note, this transmission does not fit Raptor or Roush models due to design differences.
