Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today, I'm bringing you a quick overview of the Barricade Saber 5-inch side bar, fitting all 2015 and newer F150s. The Barricade Saber 5-inch side bar will be for all 2015 and newer F150 owners out there looking to pick up a very aggressive and unique styling to help them get in and outta their truck, while also picking up that off-road aggression for their exterior. So by picking up this product, you're adding a more aggressive and unique styling to your F150 by switching up that stock look, whether you're currently equipped with side steps or not. Now this one will give you a functional and durable aid to help you get in and outta your truck, especially useful for the guys out there with lifted setups. Now material-wise, you can expect a five-inch stainless steel tubing throughout, and they kinda adapted that oval design you see so commonly with side steps and given it a few extra cuts just to give it that unique design to make it stand out from other options out there. You can expect an ABS plastic very slip-resistant pad, great for all year-round weather, and also a tire tread-like pattern for that off-road aggressive appearance. Now on each end of the actual side step, you can expect ABS plastic pads, again, on each side, for added protection.I do wanna point out at this point in time that sometimes this kinda product will be described as added protection for the sides of your truck, but I wanna go into detail on that just a bit. Now this one sometimes will protect your truck from stuff like door dings in the parking lot and small trail hazards, but then again, I wouldn't exactly rely on this particular one to be full-on armor when heading out to hit the trails, up against rocks and things of that nature. Now again, this will protect from small types of hazards like door dings, but overall, I wouldn't rely on this for full-on armor. If you are looking for that, there are other options, sturdier options, on the market I would kinda push you toward for that trail armor. Then again, this one will be a more budget-friendly option for the guys out there not doing crazy off-roading or extreme stuff like that. Now price-wise, if you are interested in picking up the Saber 5-inch steel step bar from Barricade, expect to be spending about $300, definitely an affordable item here when helping you get in and outta your truck, and a very aggressive styling at that. Now this particular one, the price will change just a little bit depending on your truck's trim. If you've got a Super Crew, it'll be about $300. If you have got a regular cab, it might be a little bit cheaper than that, but it is gonna stay in that general price range. Now to touch on the installation portion of the video, like I said before, this one's going to be a very straightforward installation, something that will be considered a direct bolt-on. Anybody can do this with a little bit of time in the driveway at home. You wanna have a couple of common hand tools on hand, like a ratchet and a basic socket set. Now to kick things off, you'll be installing the brackets onto the preexisting mounting studs located on the interior wall of your rocker panel. You'll be installing the brackets with the hardware provided in your kit and repeating the process for all the other brackets on the opposite side as well. So once you get all the brackets in place and they're tightened down, you can start to put on the step bar onto the brackets using the bolts provided as well. Once you get everything in place, tighten them down by hand, but don't overtighten them just yet. Repeat the same process for the opposite side, make sure everything is leveled and looking done properly and sturdy, tighten everything down to spec at 15 to 20 foot-pounds. Now when everything is said and done, you're looking at spending an hour or two on the installation alone, something anybody can do with just that little bit of time in the driveway at home. I would definitely give this one a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. So just to quickly wrap things up, guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F150 and you're looking for a way to beef up the sides of your truck by adding an off-road aggressive style step bar, you might wanna check out the Barricade Saber five-inch step bar, of course available right here at americanmuscle.com.
