Installation of 5in. iStep Wheel-to-Wheel Running Boards – Black Installed on 2018 Ford F150 Supercrew With 5.5’ Bed

Installation Notes:
Plastic isolators are used between the steel brackets and the aluminum body. There are two sizes of isolators: large diameter (10mm) and small diameter (8mm). Separate these ahead of time to avoid using the large isolators on the small bolts.

Installation Instructions:

1. Install large diameter isolators on 10mm mounted studs.

2. Pinch isolators and insert into holes on underside of rear cab (mounted studs / isolators may need to be tapped into holes using a hammer and metal rod to properly seat inside holes).

3. Install 2 more large diameter isolators over mounted studs.

4. Install rear bracket over 10mm studs using 10mm flat washer, 10mm lock washer and 10mm nut. Tighten bracket securely onto studs.

5. Install (9) small diameter isolators onto 8mm studs mounted in rocker panel on underside of cab.

6. Install (3) universal brackets onto isolated studs. Install (9) 8mm nylock nuts on studs and tighten brackets onto studs.

7. Insert (14) T-bolts into the underside slots of the running board [(7) bolts in each slot].

8. Slide T-bolts down the tracks of the running board, positioning the bolts to align with mounting brackets. Place running boards on brackets, aligning and inserting T-bolts into mounting bracket slots. Loosely install (14) 6mm flat washers and (14) 6mm nylock nuts onto T-bolts.

9. Align / position running board to the desired location on the truck and mounting brackets. Fix desired location /position of the running board by tightening (14) 6mm nylock nuts.
10. Repeat steps 1-9 for installation of the opposite side running board.
