      Power Retractable Running Boards. Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards are motorized steps that automatically deploy when vehicle doors open and retract when closed, providing convenient access to your truck, Jeep, or SUV. These running boards improve ease of entry and exit while maintaining the vehicle’s sleek appearance when retracted.

      Construction and Appearance. Made from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum with a military-grade black PTFE coating, these running boards offer durability and a textured, slip-resistant surface. The integrated low-profile LED lights illuminate the step and ground area, enhancing safety in low-light conditions. The boards are 6 inches wide and run the full length of the cab.

      Installation. Installation is moderately complex and recommended for professionals due to the motorized components and wiring involved. The system mounts to the vehicle's rocker panel, and newer models connect through a plug-and-play OBDII module, typically requiring no drilling.
