The Allstar Performance Battery Disconnect Switch with Decal; Severe Duty; Double Pole is designed to provide a reliable method of disconnecting the battery and alternator electrical circuit. This switch safely interrupts power flow during maintenance or emergencies, enhancing safety and preventing battery drain or electrical damage. Its quick on/off functionality ensures ease of use in demanding automotive environments.
_x000D__x000D_CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Constructed to withstand harsh conditions, the switch features weather-sealing to protect internal components from corrosion and moisture. Designed for installation in panels up to 1/4" thickness, it includes heavy-duty 1/2"-20 terminals rated for 300 amps continuous duty, complemented by 10-32 studs rated for 20 amps continuous duty. The switch is equipped with a clear decal to indicate the on/off position for intuitive operation.
_x000D__x000D_INSTALLATION. Installation requires mounting the switch into a 3/4" hole and wiring it to the battery and alternator circuits. Basic hand tools are sufficient, and no complex modifications or additional drilling beyond the mounting hole are typically necessary.
