How to Install Airaid Jr. Intake Tube Kit - SynthaFlow Oiled Filter on your F-150

Thank you for purchasing the Airaid Intake System. Please read the instruction manual carefully before proceeding with the installation. Contact Airaid @ (800) 498-6951 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST weekdays for questions regarding fit or instructions. Your Airaid Intake System was carefully inspected and packaged. Check that no parts are missing, or were damaged during shipping. If any parts are missing, contact Airaid. The air filter element is protected from direct exposure to water and debris; care should be taken not to drive through deep water. WATER INGESTION IS THE DRIVERS RESPONSIBILTY! The air filter is reusable and should be cleaned using the Airaid Filter Tune-Up Kit periodically.



1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect valve cover breather hose from factory intake tube and valve cover.


2. Loosen hose clamps connecting the factory intake tube to the air filter assembly and throttle body.


3. Remove the factory intake tube assembly from engine.

4. Airaid Jr. Kit PN#400-741
If you purchased the Airaid Jr. Kit PN#400-741, replace the factory air filter with the Airaid Premium filter included with the kit.


5. Install the supplied urethane hump hose and two #80 hose clamps on factory air filter assembly. Leave hose clamps loose until final assembly.


6. Install supplied silicone reducer on end of throttle body. Install #48 hose clamp on small end of the reducer and #56 hose clamp on the big end of the reducer. Leave hose clamps loose until final assembly.


7. Install the Airaid Modular Intake Tube on engine.


8. Tighten hose clamps on both ends of the Modular Intake Tube.


9. Install the supplied rubber hose
on the Modular Intake Tube.
Connect the other end of the
hose to the valve cover.
Secure both ends of the hose
with the supplied speed
clamps.


10. Double check your work to be
certain that all nuts, bolts, and
clamps are securely fastened.
Reconnect the negative
battery cable.
