Powerful Upgrade. Create better airflow for your Silverado's engine with the Airaid Cold Air Dam Intake with Red SynthaMax Dry Filter. This cold air intake system retain the stock filter location, but gives a big boost with the addition of a huge air inlet that provides a steady, free-flowing supply of cold air. Upgrade to this dependable dry filter kit and enhance the horsepower and torque of your truck.
No Tune Required. Installing the Airaid Cold Air Intake on your Silverado will allow for no additional need tuning. This means you just need to install the intake, get on your Silverado, step up the gas and go off-roading.
Durable Air Filter. This washable and reusable SynthaMax Dry Filter comes in red and uses a high-flow 8-layer cotton gauze material that performs better than traditional paper for superior filtration. It features a 360-degree conical shape, and performs for 30,000 to 50,000 miles of normal driving before needing to be cleaned.
Premium Construction. Mandrel-formed inlet tubing is used in each Airaid Cold Air Intake System. This is made from high-density polyethylene that has been powder-coated in black inside and out. The powder coating performs the triple duty of providing better airflow, adding anti-corrosion protection, and making your intake system looks good.
Highly-Functional Cold Air Dam. The Airaid Cold Air Dam is mounted in the factory air box location and utilizes any factory cold air inlet ducts that are present, while adding more cold air passages to the filter. These panels also keep the filter isolated from the hot engine compartment air by sealing to the underside of the hood via blade-style weather stripping.
Direct-Fit Installation. Since it is specifically designed for your 2006 Silverado, this Airaid Air Intake System will easily slide right into its designated space. Installation can be done in about half an hour using only basic hand tools, with no need to drill, cut or weld anything.
