Wear-Resistant Build Quality. This hood scoop assembly gets its durability from its high-grade ABS plastic construction, which also makes this component exceptionally resistant to deterioration and cracking over time. Moreover, this scoop is made to precise measurements using an advanced machine-forming procedure, resulting in a component that fits your truck like a glove. Finally, this component comes in a satin black finish that looks awesome on its own but can be painted to match your truck’s style.
Trouble-Free Install Procedure. This hood scoop installs onto your Silverado without the need for drilling or other modifications to your truck. Specifically, this component utilizes a combination of 3M automotive-grade double-sided adhesive backing and the included polyurethane adhesive for installation. Thorough washing of your hood is encouraged to maximize the adhesion of the tape. And when installing this in cold weather, it is advised that you heat-up the mounting surfaces to about 60 degrees Fahrenheit as the adhesive works best on warm surfaces. This can be accomplished with a heat gun, hairdryer, or by running your engine. Lastly, if you’re thinking of painting this scoop, do this before installation.
