Justin: The Air Design Hood Scoop that we have here today will be an affordable way for all 2021 and newer F-150 owners looking to add some aggressive styling to the hood area of their rigs but without having to do any permanent modification and, more importantly, without having to break the bank. Now, the Air Design option will feature that durable, molded ABS plastic build along with a satin black finish but can be color matched to your truck if you'd like, all for right around that mid to high $300 price point. So, when looking to change up the front end of your rig, more specifically that hood area, you're gonna find a few different ways to go about doing this. Now, the most obvious way that comes to mind is switching out that factory hood for something aftermarket, but let's face it, that method can get rather expensive along with very labor intensive as you typically do have to have those things painted to match your truck. Now, on the other side of that coin, you can certainly opt for vinyl, which is certainly more affordable, but the final results can be a bit limited. But let's get back to the scoop again here on the table with us today. It is coming from Air Designs. As we've already mentioned, they make a lot of cool stuff for a lot of different generation trucks. And this particular one-piece option is designed to fill that low spot on the factory hood perfectly. Now, a couple of quick points on styling here, gang. Sure, you can pull this thing right out of the box, slap it on that factory hood, and take advantage of the color contrast, which is very popular and something you do see with a lot of our customer images that are located back on the product page. Now, while you're there, you'll also notice a lot of '21 and newer owners have opted to actually color match the Air Design scoop to their particular color rig. And that's certainly something that you might want to consider doing as well as I feel it helps deliver a more factory-style look or appearance. Now, finally, guys, I've even seen a couple of owners throw three amber LED lights kind of between the scoop and your factory hood, which I think look really awesome. My point is here, guys, is that definitely check out the customer-submitted images along with those reviews, as it will really give you a better idea of your options here with the scoop itself. Now, materials, again, will be that durable yet slightly flexible or pliable ABS plastic. I like that as opposed to something being totally rigid. This thing is certainly going to just flex on you a little bit more. It's not gonna crack. You're not gonna have to worry about anything like that long term. Now, this thing does take shape due to the...or because of the injection molding process, I should say. And the shape is actually partially responsible due to the OEM Ford CAD data that Air Design uses to help design these things, and that's great, right? Because that's just going to ensure a perfect fit on the hood of your '21 and newer F-150 at home, and that was certainly our experience here with our shop truck at AT. Last but not least, guys, as you can see, this thing has been completed in kind of a...I wouldn't call it matte black. It's got a little bit of a shin to it. I'm leaning towards satin here on my professional diagnosis. But, again, there are other options on the site, including a full-on gloss black option or even a primed option as well.If you did have your heart set on having it color matched to your rig, definitely check out some of the other finish options or other scoop options on the site. Now, finally, guys, the scoop is backed by a 3-year or 30,000-mile warranty, kind of unusual for a hood scoop, but, hey, good to know you have that working for you in the future. Now, the best part is, again, guys, as I mentioned earlier, this is a peel-and-stick job. There's no need for any cutting, no drilling, no permanent modification in that brand spanking new F-150 at home. Now, because of that, the site is gonna stay pretty lenient on this install, pretty soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, let's call it, maybe an hour at most to complete from start to finish. But now to give you a better idea of just how this will all go down at home, feel free to check out this detailed walkthrough and tool breakdown.Man: You're gonna need some rubbing alcohol and a microfiber towel, your polyurethane adhesive sealant, a utility knife, a grease marker, some tape, and a caulk gun. Today, we're gonna be installing the Air Design Hood Scoop on this 2021 F-150. First, we're gonna clean the area with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber towel. Next, we're gonna test fit the part on the truck, the line where center is. Next, we're gonna trace an outline with the grease pencil and put little marks to tell us where this is gonna go back once we have our sealant on so we can put it right where it needs to go. Next, you're gonna remove the little scoop, place it upside down, and clean the inner channel where your adhesive is gonna go with rubbing alcohol and a towel. Next, we're gonna peel back our tape and get it started. We're gonna use little strips of masking tape to hold that to the top side so we can find it when we go to apply it onto the truck. Next, we're gonna open our sealant, place that in the caulk gun, and we're gonna place sealant in this channel, but we are not gonna place sealant in the front inch here so it has a water drain. Also, as you're placing your sealant, keep in mind not to let the sealant touch the adhesive tape. Skip that 1-inch part. Next, we're gonna place the hood scoop on the truck and align it with the marks from our grease pencil. Now that the hood scoop's in place, we're gonna peel the backing tape from the double-sided tape and apply pressure downward as you peel the backing tape. Next, first, you're gonna use some alcohol on a towel to clean up our pencil marks, any adhesive that may have gotten on the truck. Now, our hood scoop's installed on this 2021 F-150, and it's just important not to wash the vehicle for at least 48 hours after installation.Justin: So, wrapping this one up, guys, if you are looking to give the front end of that newer F-150 a little bit more muscle, well, then you might want to check out this scoop from Air Design available here at
