By simply installing an Advanced Flow Engineering (AFE) Magnum FORCE Stage 2 Si Pro 5R Cold Air Intake on your Silverado you will get the extra power you have been craving. The Magnum FORCE Stage 2 Si Cold Air Intake replaces the restrictive stock air box and paper filter element with a free flowing Pro 5R filter assembly and enclosed heat shield housing. This Intake will improve the airflow into your engine by 78%, when compared to stock, creating more usable power and better fuel economy.
No Tune Required. This AFE Magnum FORCE Stage 2 Si Pro 5R Cold Air Intake is designed to improve the performance of your Silverado without the need of reprogramming your truck's computer. By utilizing state of the art computer-aided designs this AFE Intake will increase power using the factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune with a Handheld Tuner. By reprogramming the vehicles computer (ECU) you will get the best possible power and performance increases from this cold air intake.
Pro 5R Oiled Air Filter. The included Pro 5R Air Filter is engineered to effectively filter out minuscule power robbing particulates while maintaining excellent air flow. Pro 5R air filters feature a polyurethane frame with 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze oiled media to ensure superior filtration and outstanding engine protection. Best of all the Pro 5R air filter is re-usable, just wash, re-oil and re-use.
