Heavy Duty Strength. The Heavy Duty Tie Rod is designed for durability and precise steering on 2000 to 2002 Ram 2500 and 3500 4WD trucks and 2000 to 2001 Ram 1500 4WD trucks. It improves load handling and steering feel, eliminating common issues such as bent drag links and unwanted toe changes. This tie rod is engineered to work seamlessly with upgraded heavy-duty steering components and is not compatible with the stock drag link.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from 1.5" x .188 wall 4130 Chromoly tubing that is heat-treated for ultimate strength, this tie rod features a two-stage abrasion-resistant powder coat finish for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. It includes fully greaseable metal-on-metal tie rod ends made from 4140 steel shanks with 1018 steel bearing housings, sealed with replaceable heavy-duty rubber dust boots to protect against corrosion and extend service life.
Installation. This product offers straightforward bolt-on installation with no drilling or reaming required. It is adjustable while installed on the vehicle using a double adjuster sleeve and pinch bolt assembly, allowing for easy alignment with basic hand tools.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 2000 to 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 4WD trucks as well as 2000 to 2001 Ram 1500 4WD models, ensuring compatibility with stock wheels and tires. It must be used in conjunction with corresponding heavy-duty steering components and is not compatible with stock drag links.
