Description
Premium Steering Upgrade. The Kryptonite Products Death Grip Idler Side Package is engineered to eliminate excessive steering play on GM heavy-duty trucks, delivering a solid and reliable idler assembly. It enhances steering precision and control, promoting safer and less fatiguing driving. This upgrade is ideal for improving the handling and durability of your truck's steering system.
Construction and Appearance. The package features an idler arm machined from solid billet steel with a heat-treated 4140 Chromoly stud for superior strength. Dual sealed roller bearings within the idler arm provide maintenance-free performance. The included frame gusset is constructed from 1/4" plate steel and is designed to be welded to the vehicle’s frame, reinforcing the factory idler support area for enhanced durability.
Installation. Installation involves welding the frame gusset to the vehicle frame and may require moderate fabrication skills and appropriate tools. While no extensive drilling is typically needed, basic mechanical knowledge is recommended to ensure correct fitment and secure attachment.
Warranty. This product is backed by a no fine print lifetime warranty protecting against manufacturer defects, premature wear, and breakage.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 2001–2010 Chevy/GMC 2500HD and 3500HD trucks. It is not compatible with vehicles equipped with Drop Centerlink or Drop Control Arm lift kits, including certain older Pro Comp and early 2000s Fabtech kits.
