Performance Exhaust Upgrade. The JBA Shorty Headers with silver ceramic coating improve engine power and efficiency by replacing restrictive stock manifolds with less restrictive stainless steel headers. These headers are designed for heavy-duty trucks with 8.1L engines, enhancing exhaust flow and torque for daily driving, racing, and towing applications.

Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from mandrel bent stainless steel for durability and optimal exhaust flow, these headers incorporate a proprietary Firecone collector validated by race applications. They feature a metallic ceramic coating in a grey semi-gloss finish that provides corrosion resistance and a professional appearance to withstand harsh operating conditions.

Installation. Installation requires welding and is moderately challenging. A JBA Y-Pipe is required for proper fitment. Factory style emission connections are included. Replacement spark plug wire and/or boot may be included as needed to facilitate installation and ensure a proper, no-leak fitment.

Fitment and Application. Compatible with 2001-2003 GM 8.1L models including Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, Avalanche 2500, Suburban 2500, Sierra 2500 HD, Sierra 3500, and Yukon XL 2500 without EGR air tubes or smog pumps. Not compatible with raised port cylinder heads or configurations requiring air injection systems.

Application. Designed exclusively for 01-03 8.1L Silverado 2500 HD models without EGR air tubes or smog pumps. This header does not fit models equipped with raised port cylinder heads or configurations requiring air injection systems.
