Performance Chambered Muffler. The Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Center/Center Oval Muffler; 2.50-Inch Inlet/2.50-Inch Outlet delivers aggressive sound with improved exhaust scavenging. Designed for street, strip, and off-road use, this muffler enhances performance while offering reduced interior resonance and a milder exterior tone compared to standard 40 series models.

Construction and Appearance. Constructed from durable 16 gauge aluminized steel and fully MIG welded, this muffler features a high-temperature paint finish for increased longevity and corrosion resistance. The oval body shape incorporates patented Delta Flow technology with two chambers and deflectors to optimize exhaust flow and sound control.

Installation. The muffler installs via slip-fit inlet and outlet connections and uses clamp-on or weld-on mounting methods. Installation requires moderate skill, with no special drilling necessary, but new hangers are needed and not included.

Application. This muffler is designed for universal fitment across a wide range of 4 and 6 cylinder engines, classic and late model muscle cars, street rods, street/strip applications, and trucks/SUVs. Some adaptation may be required to ensure proper fitment in specific setups.
