Description
Traction Bar Kit Performance. The BDS Traction Bar Kit designed for 0 to 8-inch lifts improves rear axle traction by minimizing axle wrap during acceleration. This reduces pinion angle changes and enhances driveline stability, helping maintain optimal suspension geometry and driveline durability for lifted Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks with 3.5-inch axle tubes.
Construction and Appearance. Made from heavy-duty 1.25-inch outer diameter steel tubing with a 1/8-inch wall thickness, the tubular bars offer reliable strength and a clean, professional look. Polyurethane bushings on each end are selected for durability and vibration dampening, while vehicle-specific mounting brackets are fabricated from 3/16-inch steel plate for secure, precise fitment.
Installation. Installation typically takes 3 to 4 hours. Body mount modification may be necessary for crew cab long bed models. On vehicles with less than 4 inches of lift, the bars are mounted facing downward to maintain frame clearance during suspension travel.
Application. Designed exclusively for the 2003-2013 4WD Dodge Ram 2500 with 3.5-inch axle tubes, ensuring precise fit and function for this model range.
