Description
Performance Upgrade. The BD Power Steering Upgrade Kit enhances the steering system of Chevrolet and GM HD trucks by addressing common weaknesses in the steering linkage and tie rods. Designed for trucks equipped with high torque engines, lift kits, or larger tires, this kit improves steering precision and durability, preventing issues such as loose steering and broken tie rods that can lead to costly repairs.
Construction and Appearance. The kit features a forged I-beam centerlink that is 30% stronger than OEM to reduce flex. Tie rods are 1.5 times larger than factory originals, with larger greaseable ball joints for increased longevity. The sway bar end links are made 1 inch longer to accommodate leveling kits and include durable polyurethane bushings shaped for articulation and enhanced durability. All ball joints, pitman, and idler arms are greaseable and retain factory geometry for optimal performance.
Installation. Installation of this steering upgrade kit is moderately challenging, with an estimated time of 3 hours. The kit installs using OEM mounting points and requires no drilling or modifications, allowing for a straightforward upgrade process.
Warranty. This product includes a 12-month parts warranty, with an option for limited lifetime coverage available through registration.
