Description
Power Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards provide motorized, automatically deployable steps for trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps to streamline entry and exit. These running boards extend when the vehicle door opens and retract when closed, enhancing convenience and aesthetics. They deliver functional stepping support only when needed without permanent protrusions impacting vehicle appearance or ground clearance.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum with a military-grade black PTFE powder coat, these running boards combine strength and durability with a textured, slip-resistant step surface. Integrated low-profile LED courtesy lights activate during deployment to add safety and visibility while maintaining a sleek, professional black finish.
Installation. Designed for direct mounting to the vehicle's rocker panel using the included vehicle-specific installation kit and instructions, installation is straightforward but recommended to be done by professionals. These PowerStep boards connect via the vehicle’s OBDII port using a plug-and-play module in newer applications and generally do not require drilling.
Warranty. This product comes with a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and proper installation.
