Transmission Skid Protection. The AEV Transmission Skid Plate is engineered to protect the transmission of the Colorado ZR2 Bison from off-road hazards and debris. It serves as an essential component to complete the vehicle’s OEM skid plate system, enhancing durability and protection while maintaining optimal transmission cooling.

Construction and Appearance. Made from heavy-duty 1" DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) steel tubing, this skid plate includes a two-stage corrosion-resistant coating to withstand harsh conditions and prevent rust. Its tubular design helps prevent debris accumulation around the transmission pan, minimizing fire risks and maintaining a clean appearance.

Installation. Installation is straightforward and rated easy, typically taking about one hour. It may require drilling during installation, supported by included templates and instructions to ensure a secure and precise fit.

Application. Designed exclusively for the 2019-22 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison, this transmission skid plate integrates seamlessly with the OEM skid plate system. Other 2015-22 Colorado ZR2 and Z71 models must use the Bison Transfer Case Skid Plate in conjunction with this product for proper fitment and protection.
