Description

The Heat Screen GOLD 36-Inch x 40-Inch is engineered to reduce heat intrusion from engines and exhaust systems into sensitive areas such as interiors and critical components. This product is ideal for protecting air intakes and vehicle interiors by reflecting high temperatures, helping to maintain cooler operating conditions and prolong equipment life.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. The product features a metalized polyimide lamination bonded to a sturdy 20-ounce heat-treated glass fiber base. It is finished with a reflective surface capable of withstanding radiant heat up to 1100°F, and the material thickness measures .031 inches, providing durability and effective thermal resistance.
INSTALLATION. Installation is straightforward and can be accomplished either by mechanical fastening or by using a specialized high-temperature adhesive spray. Drilling may be necessary depending on the mounting method and specific application requirements.
APPLICATION. This heat screen is designed for universal use, requiring some adaptation to fit specific setups. It should not be applied directly to exhaust components to prevent damage or failure.
