      Hey, guys. Sara from americantrucks.com. And today we have a review and install of the Truxedo TruXport Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover fitting your '19 and newer Ram 1500s. This tonneau is constructed from an anodized black aluminum frame as well as a fade-resistant black vinyl cover. This tonneau cover features a low profile design with an adjustable tension control system and dual latches, giving your truck a sleek look and seamless function. This cover provides easy access and rolls away completely allowing you to use full function of your truck's bed and allows you to operate your truck with the cover fully open or fully closed. Coming in at around $310, this softcover will not give you quite as much security as a hardcover would but it will get your truck's bed covered and protected from the elements without breaking the bank. I'm giving this install a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It can be done in approximately one hour, features plenty of adjustability, and does not require drilling for install. With that said, let's jump right into our install.Tools used for this and so are: A 3/8 drive ratchet, half-inch socket, and an impact gun. All right. So, the first step in our install is to grab your driver's side rail, it will have a D printed up top here and lay it on the side of your truck bed. You want it to just meet the edge of the bed having the rounded edge upfront. Next up, we'll install our clamps that clamp our rail to the side of our truck bed. You wanna open them all the way up like this so that you can slide them over the edge of the rail. We are gonna start in the center for this one. With our clamp all the way open, slide it underneath the side of the bed and over top of our rail. Try to get it as far back as possible, the teeth of the clamp do need to sit in these grooves at the very back of the rail. Once this is in place, we can grab our half-inch socket and tighten it down.With your clamp in place, you do wanna be sure that it seats over top of these ridges right here so the clamp can get a good grab on the edge of your bed. Next up we're gonna place our clamp pretty far back against the back of the bed, hooking it underneath the edge of the bed and making sure that the grooves of our clamp fall in the grooves at the back of our rail. Next up, grab our half-inch socket and tighten this down. Finally, install the clamp at the very back of our bed, hooking it under, and placing it in the grooves. Grab your half-inch socket and tighten it down.Next up, grab your passenger's side rail and get it in place. All right. So, we're not gonna get our clamps on our passenger's side rail just yet. We are gonna get our cover up there and install it to both rails first. So, grab your cover with the weatherstrip side down, get it installed at the back of your bed. Peeling back the cover a little bit, you wanna slide the edge of our cover into the rail. Repeat that on the passenger's side. With our passenger rail so loose, we can now slide it into place. With our cover in place, we can now install our clamps on our rail, hooking them underneath the bed and over top of the rail. Now, we can roll out our cover. Ensure that both sides of the cover is tucked into these grooves here. And from the center, you can shut it.All right. So, that's gonna do it for the review and install of our TruXedo tonneau cover.
