Effective Heat And Noise Barrier. The Thermo Tec Cool-It Mat; 24-Inch x 50-Foot is designed to significantly reduce unwanted heat and noise in vehicle compartments. It is applied to areas such as driver compartments, firewall, floorboards, doors, hoods, and transmission housings to create a more comfortable driving environment. Its versatility allows it to be used in various locations where heat and noise insulation are needed.

Construction and Appearance. This mat consists of resin-bonded silica blanketing insulation sandwiched between a highly reflective Foil Skrim Kraft (FSK) facing and a foil facing. The reflective FSK side functions as both a vapor and radiant barrier, while the foil side disperses penetrating heat across the surface for optimal heat protection. The composite features a dual-density silica blanketing serving as the primary sound insulator and is approximately 1/2 inch thick, providing durable yet flexible protection.

Installation. Installation is straightforward, requiring either push-in fasteners supplied with the product or weather strip adhesive for secure placement. No drilling is necessary, making the process simple and accessible.
