You can add the extra power you crave by simply installing a S&B Cold Air Intake with Oiled Cotton Filter. The S&B Cold Air Intake replaces the restrictive stock air box and paper filter element with a custom enclosed air box and a free flowing oiled filter assembly for an 39.05% improvement in airflow.
No Tune Required. S&B engineered their Cold Air Intake to improve the performance of your Super Duty without the need of reprogramming your computer. By utilizing flow dynamics, this Intake will increase power using the original factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this Cold Air Intake.
Reusable Oiled Air Filter. The included S&B high flow air filter effectively filters out power robbing particles with its 8-layer design. The specially treated cotton media creates a sticky surface to capture microscopic contaminants before they can enter your engine and do harm. Seeing that the filter is reusable there is no need to buy a new filter every few thousand miles. You can just clean the filter, re-oil it, and reinstall - saving yourself money in the long haul.
Enclosed Air Box Design. Featuring a fully enclosed air box that protects the filter from dirt and keeps out excessive engine heat, this S&B air box far outflows the factory box. One of the cooler features of the S&B air box is the snap-in lid with window. This window not only adds eye catching appeal, but makes it easy to check your filters condition with just a glance.
Bolt-on Installation. S&B designed their Cold Air Intake kit to be a direct bolt-on replacement. With no special tools or extra modifications required installation can be completed in under an hour. All parts and detailed instructions are included.
