But if it malfunctions, your vehicle loses control over its emissions. The good news is that you don’t need to pay expensive dealership prices for a full EVAP replacement. With Dorman’s Evaporative Purge Solenoid Valve, you can switch out the broken valve with one that restores the original vehicle functionality.

      Simple Plastic Construction. There’s nothing complicated going on with the construction of the Evaporative Purge Solenoid Valve. It’s made using tough and corrosion-resistant plastic to ensure it can withstand constant use.

      Direct Installation. Vehicle modifications aren’t required when installing this valve. You’ll need several standard hand tools, such as an end wrench, flashlight, and flat screwdriver. You may also need replacement vacuum or vent hoses if yours are frayed, though these are sold separately. Make sure you turn your vehicle’s battery off before installing this part.

      Lifetime Warranty. Dorman backs this valve with a limited lifetime warranty against workmanship and material defects.

      Application. This Evaporative Purge Solenoid Valve fits the stock EVAP in the 2007-2018 versions of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. It’s only compatible with 6.0L engines.
