      Description

      Heavy-Duty Frame Component. The Rust Buster Rear Spare Tire Crossmember is engineered to replace and reinforce the OEM rear spare tire crossmember on 2011-2019 Silverado 2500HD, Silverado 3500HD single rear wheel, GMC Sierra 2500HD, and Sierra 3500HD single rear wheel trucks. It provides essential structural support for the spare tire, enhancing durability and preserving the integrity of the truck’s frame under demanding conditions. This crossmember is crucial for restoring rust-damaged areas and prolonging the safety and lifespan of your vehicle.

      Construction and Appearance. Made from heavy-duty 7 gauge steel, this crossmember is a robust upgrade over the original equipment. It measures 35.8 inches in length and arrives coated with an oil protective layer to prevent oxidation during shipping. For additional corrosion resistance, it is recommended to apply a rust converter paint after installation.

      Installation. Installation requires removing the OEM crossmember and welding the Rust Buster crossmember in place. Welding skills and equipment are necessary to complete this install. No drilling is required.

      Warranty. This rear spare tire crossmember is covered by a lifetime warranty, ensuring reliable performance and durability.

      Application. Designed to fit all cab and bed configurations for 2011-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD single rear wheel models, as well as GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD single rear wheel models without exclusion for this generation.
