How to Install Rightline Gear Truck Bed Air Mattress (02-18 RAM 1500) on your Dodge RAM

NOTE: IT IS RECOMMENDED TO KEEP THE MATTRESS INFLATED FOR SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE INITIAL USE. THE MATTRESS’S MATERIAL WILL STRETCH DUR­ING THIS TIME AND ADDITIONAL AIR WILL BE RE­QUIRED TO RETURN THE MATTRESS TO ITS DESIRED FIRMNESS. THE LOSS OF AIR BEFORE INITIAL USE IS NORMAL AND DOES NOT MEAN THE MATTRESS IS LEAKING. 

1-Lay the air mattress over a flat area, free from rocks and sticks (Fig 1). Make sure the mattress is completely unfolded and its flocked side is facing up (Fig 2).

WARNING: THE AIR PUMP’S POWER SUPPLY MUST BE A VEHICLE’S 12 VOLT DC OUTLET. 

2-Attach the large adaptor to the inflation port on the side of the air pump (Fig 3).

3-Insert the air pump’s charge plug into the vehicle’s 12 volt DC outlet (Fig 4). 

WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE THE PUMP UNATTENDED WHILE OPERATING. DO NOT ALLOW THE PUMP TO GET WET OR KEEP IT RUNNING FOR OVER 15 MIN­UTES. DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE INFLATION AND DE­FLATION PORTS. DO NOT ALLOW SMALL DEBRIS TO BE SUCKED INTO THE INFLATION OR DEFLATION PORTS.

4-Place the adaptor into the mattress’s easy inflate valve’s opening (Fig 5). The adaptor will push the valve open. Power the air pump on (Fig 6). 

5-Inflate the mattress to the desired firmness, turn the air pump off, and remove the adaptor from the opening. The air pressure inside the mattress will push the valve closed. Screw the cap over the easy inflate valve’s opening (Fig 7).

6-Use the mouth valve to inflate the mattress if the air pump is unavailable (Fig 8). 

7-Place the mattress between the wheel wells of the truck bed (Fig 9) with its flocked side facing up and its valve side facing the rear of the truck. 

8-Store your gear between the mattress and the bed walls (Fig 10). 

1-Attach the large adaptor to the deflation port on the top of the air pump (Fig 11). 

2-Insert the air pump’s charge plug into the vehicle’s 12 volt DC outlet (Fig 12).

3-Place the adaptor into the mattress’s easy inflate valve’s opening (Fig 12) and power the air pump on (Fig 13). 

4-Deflate the mattress until no air remains inside.

1-Fold the sides of the mattress into the middle (Fig 15). Fold side A over side B (Fig 16). 

2-Roll the mattress toward the valve end to push out any remaining air. Make sure to depress the easy inflate valve to let the air escape (Fig 17). Screw the cap over the easy inflate valve’s opening to prevent air from re-entering. 

3-Place the mattress and the air pump into the stuff sack (Fig 18). 

WARNING: INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN CAN SUFFOCATE ON INFLATABLE MATTRESSES; NEVER PLACE THEM TO SLEEP ON THIS AIR MATTRESS. KEEP FLOCKED SIDE FACING UP. KEEP SHARP OBJECTS AWAY FROM MATTRESS. KEEP MATTRESS AWAY FROM FIRE. MATTRESS NOT FOR USE IN WATER. MATTRESS NOT FOR USE WHEN VEHICLE IS MOVING.
