High Heat Protection. The Floor and Tunnel Shield II; 42-Inch x 48-Inch; Aluminum provides an effective thermal barrier designed to reflect and insulate areas exposed to extreme heat. It is ideal for use on firewalls, transmission tunnels, floorboards, fuel cells, and other areas where heat intrusion risks component damage. This shield helps maintain comfortable interior temperatures while protecting sensitive parts and electronics from damaging heat.

Construction and Appearance. This shield features a 10 mil dimpled aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 inch composite glass-fiber core. The surface is embossed for improved heat reflection and rigidity, offering a durable and modern finish. The shield is lightweight at only 3/16 inch thick and incorporates a finely woven glass-fiber backing designed without adhesive for versatile application. For optimal heat protection, the aluminum side must face the heat source.

Installation. Installation is straightforward and typically involves trimming and shaping for a custom fit in tight areas. No drilling is required. The shield can be mounted using heat-resistant pressure-sensitive adhesives or other fastening methods depending on your application.

Application. This product fits universal applications though some adaptation or trimming may be necessary to fit specific configurations. It should not be applied directly onto exhaust components.
