Merideth: If you need to refresh the front end of your 2010 to 2018 RAM 2500 with the Factory Halogen Non-Projector Headlights and want a more aggressive look than factory, these LED Halo Projector Headlights with the Black Housing and the Smoked Lens will be a great addition to your build. Now, this kit will be fantastic for the RAM owners who have started to see some damage on their current setup, whether that's lens fade, cracking, or condensation inside the light, and need a replacement, but want a stealthy and more modernized option to upgrade to. Now, these will be great to improve your lighting performance with the projector lens for the high and low beam if you need brighter visibility at night, and will have that custom style that you may want with LED accent lights and an LED halo. Now, these will feature a black inner housing and a very smoked lens on the front. It is going to be a little bit darker compared to other lighter-smoked options. That's gonna give you that dark and aggressive appearance to the front, but making sure not to take away from that lighting performance thanks to the projector lens on the inside. Now, that upgraded lens will clean up the beam pattern compared to the factory reflector. So, although you will still be working with a halogen bulb, the beam is going to be a lot more concise with a sharp cutoff line, and that's going to allow better visibility when driving at night. Not to mention, the style on this light will be a bit more custom compared to the average set with the LED halo surrounding that projector, and it's also going to have a nice strip of LEDs that are going to act as an accent light right around this turn signal here, again, giving you that custom feel that you may be looking for to make your RAM stand apart from the rest. These will be pretty durable for a set of lights with a tough black plastic housing and a tough lens on the front that's going to hold up very well to any kick-up on-road and any lighter kick-up off-road if you are taking your truck out on the trail. These will also have a quality seal to prevent any moisture from getting in, potentially fogging up the lens or harming the bulbs inside. Now, the kit will also require a little bit of wiring, but it is going to remain mostly plug-and-play, and we'll show you how to do that in just a minute. These are gonna come in at roughly $375, which in the range of headlight prices is going to be on the lower side. Now, compared to other options, I think that this is gonna have a great balance of getting all the features that you would want, like that sleek look, the upgrade in the lens type, new housing, new bulbs, and of course, that custom detailing, while also saving a few bucks in the meantime. Now, I think if you want more than the OE choices allow as far as features are concerned, but you don't necessarily need every single bell and whistle that the premium options have, you just want to save a couple bucks while getting a good looking and a well-functioning headlight, then this is gonna be a fantastic set for you. Install is gonna be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Like I said, there is a little bit of wiring here, but it's nothing you can't get done in about an hour with some basic hand tools. At this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown on how to get these onto your RAM at home. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into it.Man 1: For this install, you will need a clip removal tool, a ratchet, 10mm socket, wire strippers, and crimpers. And for the way we installed it, T-taps, and male spade connectors. What's up, guys. Today we're going to be installing some headlights on our RAM, but before we get started we're going to send you to watch a short video on how to uninstall your factory headlights and we'll see you when you get back.Man 2: So our first step is to remove all of the push clips that are holding in our upper radiator cover. So I've got a clip remover tool to pop these out. So now we can start from the edge and work our way across, popping out our clips. And then with all of our clips removed, that'll expose these four bolts that hold in the top of our grille. So we'll grab a 10-millimeter socket to pop these out. And now with the four bolts removed off the top of our grille, we can pull straight back to remove it. Now, with our grille removed, we can remove these two 10-millimeter bolts that hold in the inside of our headlight. So we'll grab a 10-millimeter socket and get these out. So next we can come down into our fender liner. We have this little access door here that we're going to pop open. Now, inside towards the fender, there's going to be a white clip that we're going to have to push up on. It's going to be really hard to see from this angle, but I'll show you from the front once we get our headlight out.So we'll reach in there, push up on that tab, and that'll free our headlight. And now once we release our tab, we have one more silver 10-millimeter bolt here that we need to remove. So I'll grab that 10-millimeter socket to get that out. So now with all of our bolts removed and our tab released, we can pull back on the headlights to remove it. And then we'll just disconnect our electrical harnesses, pull back on our red tab, and then push in on our black to remove that. And then over here, pull out on the white, push in on the black to remove that. And now this is that white tab we were showing you. This is the open position where you can slide this little notch in there. And then when you pull it down, it locks that into place. So now once we have this headlight removed, we can do the same thing on the other side.Man 1: Alrighty, guys. Welcome back. Now that we've shown you how to remove your factory headlights, we're about ready to go ahead on with the new ones, but there's a few things we need to do and it's just very light wiring. So we're going to need to add connectors to our running light wires. Now these do come with taps. You can tap into your harness. Our vehicle already has these T-taps on meant for spade connectors. So we're going to add some male spades to our wiring. We find it much easier because if you need to take the headlight out, you can simply unplug it without having to re-tap and do anything like that. So, grab our spade connectors and go onto our pre-stripped wires here. Go ahead and insert those. Sometimes you need to twist them to get them on. Make sure they're nice and seated then we'll go ahead and grab our crimpers here. Give that a nice crimp. Good squeeze. Then you want to give it a little tug afterwards and make sure it has a firm connection. We're going to do the same thing for our other one here. Go ahead and get our spade connector on here. Get our crimpers. And there's a good crimp. Tug just to make sure we're secure. Then once you've completed that for this headlight, you can go ahead and do the same thing for the other one. So now we're ready to go on to the vehicle and we're going to start with our electrical connectors. So we'll plug our matching connector in from our vehicle side. And once we get these in, we're going to plug our running light wiring in, and we're going to match black to black here. And then our brown wire is going to go to our striped wire here. Make sure those are nice and secure. We'll grab our other connector here. Plug that in. Push our little push pin in up here if we can. We'll go ahead and get this set into place. Now remember this plastic retainer here on the back. It's kind of hard to see from where we're going to have to reach to push it down, but you do want to line that and your bottom locator up back in here. Now that we have this in place, we'll go ahead and reinstall our 10mm mounting screws. Our shorter one is going to go up top here. We'll get that one started. Our longer one is going on our bottom mount here. Once we have these started we're going to go ahead and use our 10mm socket on our ratchet to tighten these back down. Again, it's going to be hard to see but there is the trap door in your fender liner. You're going to have to open that up, reach in, and push down on that plastic tab to go ahead and hold your rear mounting point in place. Now once you've completed this for this headlight, you can go ahead and repeat these same steps for your other side. So now that we have both of our headlights installed, it's time to put our grille back on. So we'll line up our clip points here as well as our top mounting points and get that back into place. Go underneath our little rubber sheathing pieces here. Make sure all of our mounting points line up, then we'll give our clips a good push here. Make sure they get back in line. Then we can grab our 10mm mounting screws and start putting them back in.Go ahead and get these screws started here. All four of them in place. Then we'll go ahead and grab our 10mm socket on our ratchet again and go ahead and tighten these down. Next, we can go ahead and get our cover in place. Go ahead and slide that back on. We'll line up our front middle push pins here. Just begin placing them back in. Just push those back down. We'll get our outer ones as well. Alrighty, guys. That about wraps up our review and install of our Raxiom Axial Series LED Headlights with Black Housing and clear lenses for your '10 to '18 RAM 2500 with Factory Halogen Non-Projector Headlights.
