Noah: Noah here from AmericanTrucks. And we're going to take a closer look at the Raxiom LED Bar Headlights with Black Housing and Clear Lenses for the 2010 to 2018 RAM 2500 with factory halogen non-projector headlights. These headlights are perfect for the RAM owner who wants a fully plug-and-play upgrade with a super bright daytime running light design that gives the front end of your truck a more modern look. The main selling point with these headlights is the OEM design. They actually look really similar to the factory headlights in terms of the layout and the overall design, minus a few key factors. There is this super bright LED daytime running light that sort of snakes through the headlights and it really grabs your attention when it lights up. Now, not only does this add a cool look to the headlights, but it also makes you more visible to distracted drivers and easier to spot in low-light conditions. The housings are black for that sleek upgraded look and the lenses are clear. Now, these headlights also utilize the factory halogen bulbs, which keeps the design simple and affordable. Not only do these headlights look the part, but they're also built to last. Now, as far as construction goes, we've got some ABS housings for some serious defense against moisture, heat, and any other kind of debris. Then ceiling everything shut, we have a polycarbonate lens, which is excellent for impact resistance. And as I mentioned earlier, these do use the factory halogen bulbs. However, if you want them to be even brighter, you can grab a set of LED drop-in bulbs off our site and get these headlights shining as bright as possible. These headlights are one of the more affordable options in the realm of headlights with LED bars in them. They come in around the $450 price point, which means you aren't paying much for some high-quality build materials and an advanced LED design with no wiring required. Now, I'd say these headlights are a great middle ground between cheap no bells and whistles and high-dollar complex LED headlights. Now, if you want something LED but are on a budget, these would be a great compromise for you.Installing this set of headlights on your ram is going to take you about two hours to do at home. Now, this job should come pretty simple to just about anybody, so we're looking at an install difficulty of one out of three wrenches. Now, speaking of install, I'm gonna hand it over to one of the guys in the shop so you can see for yourself.Man: Tools required for this install include a ratchet, a clip remover tool, a pair of pliers, wire strippers and crimpers, a test light, an extension, a 10-millimeter socket, a few T-taps, and a few male spades. What's up, guys? Today we're installing a set of headlights on our RAM 2500, so let's get started. So, our first step is to remove all of the push clips that are holding in our upper radiator cover. So, I've got a clip remover tool to pop these out. So, now we can start from the edge and work our way across, popping out our clips. And then with all of our clips removed, that'll expose these four bolts that hold in the top of our grille. So, we'll grab a 10-millimeter socket to pop these out. And now with the four bolts removed off the top of our grille, we can pull straight back to remove it. Now with our grille removed, we can remove these two 10-millimeter bolts that hold in the inside of our headlight. We'll grab a 10-millimeter socket and get these out.So, next, we can come down into our fender liner. We have this little access door here that we're gonna pop open. Now, inside towards the fender, there's gonna be a white clip that we're gonna have to push up on. It's gonna be really hard to see from this angle, but I'll show you from the front once we get our headlight out.So, we'll just reach in there, push up on that tab, and that'll free our headlight. And now, once we release our tab, we have one more silver 10-millimeter bolt here that we need to remove. So, I'll grab that 10-millimeter socket to get that out.So, now with all of our bolts removed and our tab released, we can pull back on the headlight to remove it. And then we'll just disconnect our electrical harnesses. Pull back on our red tab and then push in on our black to remove that. And then over here, pull out on the white, push in on the black to remove that. And now, this is that white tab we were showing you. This is the open position where you can slide this little notch in there and then when you pull it down, it locks that into place. So, now, once we have this headlight removed, we can do the same thing on the other side. Now, before we install our new headlights onto the truck, we have to do a little bit of wiring on the table. So, we have a power and a ground wire that are gonna run into our daytime running light wires. The way we're gonna do that is by using T-taps and nail spades. Now, it's a little metal fork in the T-tap that's gonna go around the wire on our body harness. And then we'll close this up, use a pair of pliers to crimp down on it. And then once that's closed, we'll put a male spade onto our wires coming off our headlights. And then we can slide this into the end of the T-tap to make our connection. So, we'll get our two male spades wired up onto our power and ground wire, and then we can put our T-taps on the truck and get these installed. Now we can grab our wires. We're gonna twist up the weed coming off our wire and it'll slide a male spade over our wire, and then use a pair of wire crimpers to crimp that down. And now we'll do the same thing for our other wire. And then we can do that same thing for our other headlight and get that installed on the truck. So, now we can use our T-taps to splice into the wires on our connector. Now, we're gonna be splicing into the connector that's black with the red tab. So, to figure this out, we're gonna be using a test light. So, we'll figure out our ground wire first. So, I've connected the opposite side of this test light to our positive battery terminal. And then we can probe our connectors and we get power to our outermost wire, which is our black, so that's gonna be our ground. So, we'll grab our T-tap and put the wire between the forks, and then we can grab our pair of pliers to crimp down on that. So, to find the power wire for our daytime running lights, I turn the switch on for our daytime running lights in the truck. And now we can just find a good ground for our test light and we'll probe our two prongs. Now, right in the middle our test light lights up, on the outside, we get nothing. So, we're gonna be splicing into our middle wire for our power. So, we'll add our T-tap, grab our pliers, and close that up. And now we can do that same thing on the other side and install our headlights. So, now we're ready to wire up our new headlights. So, our green wire with the white stripe is gonna go into our power wire. And then our black wire is gonna go to our black wire for our ground. And then we can plug our black connector with the red tab into our turn signal. And then our purple is gonna go into the bulb for our headlight. And then we'll line up our headlight and slide that into place. And then we can reinstall our two 10-millimeter bolts. The longer silver one is gonna go at the bottom and our shorter black one's gonna go up top. And then we'll grab our 10-millimeter socket to tighten these both down. Now we can come back to our fender liner and reinstall our 10-millimeter bolt and tighten that down with a 10-millimeter socket. And then we can lock our white tab into place. And then we can do the same thing on the other side. So, now we can line up our grille and push it back into place. Now we can reinstall the four bolts at the top of our grille. Our longer bolts are gonna go on the outside and our shorter ones will go on the inside. And then we'll grab our 10-millimeter socket to tighten these down. And then we can reinstall our upper radiator cover and pop all of our push clips into place.Noah: Those were the Raxiom LED Bar Headlights with Black Housings and Clear Lenses for the 2010 to 2018 RAM 2500 with the factory halogen non-projector headlights.
