How to Install Putco Wheel-to-Wheel Boss Side Step Bars - Polished on your Sierra

Driver Side Installation

(a) Remove three (3) existing body mount bolts from the front, middle, and rear body mount. Keep bolt for reinstallation. 

(b) Install the Front bracket with the factory body mount bolt, large factory washer stays above bracket. Leave bracket loose at this time. (figure 1- 1, ) 

(c) Install the Middle bracket to the body mount located between the front and read door on the driver side, using the factory body mount bolt, large factory washer stays above bracket. Leave bracket loose at this time (fig 1-2) 

(d) Install the Rear bracket to the body mount located at the rear of the passenger of the cab, using the factory body mount bolts, large factory washer stays above bracket. Leave bracket loose at this time (fig.1-3) 

(e) Attach the step tube to all three (3) brackets using (2) M8 bolts in the front, and (4) in the middle and rear each. 

(f) Tighten all bolts (M8 and Body Mount Bolts) to make sure steps are secure.

1. Passenger Side Installation

(a) Follow steps 1(a) -1(f) for the installation of passenger step.
