Description

The PSC Motorsports Cylinder Assist Kit improves steering by reducing the load on the steering box, providing smoother and more predictable control in demanding off-road conditions. It is specifically designed for GM 4WD trucks equipped with crossover steering, enhancing performance for vehicles with larger tires or used in rugged terrain.
Construction and Appearance. This kit is built with high-strength components including a durable cylinder, heavy-duty mounts, and a crossover steering linkage designed for robust off-road use. The finish is rugged to resist harsh environmental conditions and maintain long-term reliability.
Installation. Installation requires welding axle tabs to mount the cylinder securely and a vehicle configured with crossover steering and a compatible Pitman arm. Depending on the vehicle’s lift height, some trimming or bracket adjustments may be necessary for proper fitment.
Application. This kit is tailored for GM 4WD trucks from 1970 to 1994, with specific configurations for Standard Steering Gear (1970–1976) and XDR Steering Gear (1977–1994), designed to fit GM Dana 44 and 10-Bolt axles.
