Pacbrake PH+ Electronic Emergency Engine Shutdown System

Diesel engine runaway can occur when an engine ingests flammable particles such as fuel vapors, oil mist, or airborne dust. Pacbrake’s PH+ Electronic Emergency Engine Shutdown system is designed to protect your vehicle, livelihood, and safety by immediately cutting off the engine’s air supply during emergency conditions.

The PH+ system controls the electronic throttle body found in most late-model diesel engines, closing the air intake when an overspeed condition is detected or when manually activated by the operator.

Product Description:

Pacbrake’s PH+ (PowerHalt Plus) Electronic Air Shutoff System is an electronically controlled emergency engine shutdown solution that forces engine shutdown by blocking the engine’s air intake path. Automatic shutdown occurs when engine speed exceeds a preset limit or when activated manually using the in-cab toggle switch.

After an emergency shutdown, the valve remains closed for a minimum of 15 seconds and will hold closed until the shutdown signal is removed. The system provides visual feedback through an illuminated switch when the valve is closed, and automatically resets once normal operation is restored.
