The Pacbrake DirectMount 4-Inch PRXB High Performance Exhaust Brake Kit enhances vehicle braking power by providing 50 percent more holdback at lower RPMs, ideal for typical driving ranges between 1400-1800 RPM. This system improves braking efficiency by using exhaust backpressure, reducing reliance on service brakes and enhancing safety on descents and heavy towing scenarios.
Construction and Appearance. This exhaust brake kit features a patented 90-degree non-contacting butterfly valve engineered to maximize backpressure without seizing. It incorporates an industry-exclusive Arcor nitride coating on the housing and components, which enhances wear and corrosion resistance while adding lubricity and durability suitable for severe duty and military use.
Installation. Installation of this direct mount kit is straightforward with no drilling required, designed for professional or experienced DIY installers. The kit comes complete with all necessary components including air compressor, tank, hoses, and fittings for a clean and efficient setup.
